Selection guide
How to choose a waterproof floor box for a project
A floor box should be selected from the project condition first, then from the required services. Protection class, floor construction and the final module layout all affect the right choice.
Start with the protection requirement
Use IP65 or IP66 only when the known water exposure calls for it. For compact, discreet access in a dry internal setting, a flip-up socket may be more suitable than a waterproof box.
Confirm the floor construction
Raised access floors, concrete floors and finished stone or wood floors need different back-box and cut-out checks. Product drawings and floor build-up should be reviewed before the final selection.
Plan the services inside the box
List the required power, data and communication modules before quotation. Green Home products use Type-45 module positions in the applicable ranges, but the final arrangement must match the approved project requirement.
Choose a finish that belongs in the project
Decorative round and flip-up options are available in selected metallic finishes. Stainless steel options provide a more technical, low-profile floor appearance for internal project spaces.
